Academic Editing
Ink & Insight provides tiered proofreading and editorial coaching designed specifically for high school and first-year university students. Each tier builds writing independence and long-term skill development.

Students stay in control of their work. Ink & Insight will suggest corrections and guide understanding to improve future assignments.
Ink & Insight provides structured academic support while maintaining academic integrity. I do not write assignments for students. Instead, I help strengthen clarity, organization, grammar, and argument development. Higher tiers include additional feedback to build long-term writing confidence. Think of this as an opportunity to receive suggestions tailored to the author (the student) and product.
All tiers provide suggestions and comments, unless otherwise necessary. Word-by-word analysis (think of the red-ink filled page filled with individual corrections) are not typically provided, as this is impractical for online editing. Exceptions can be made for paper-copy drafts (contact to discuss). The original author takes responsibility for revising, incorporating or excluding any changes suggested.
The tier price changes for student needs. Each independent tier focuses on a particular set of skills; however, some editing will be done from each of the lower tiers. For example, if Tier 5 is selected, elements from Tiers 1-4 will also be considered, but only as they relate to the skill enhancement in Tier 5.
Estimated turnaround is two to four business days, except in cases of rush delivery. Each tier takes more time to complete the more complex editing. For this reason, longer pieces of writing (2000+ words, particularly) may take up to five business days to return. For a more accurate time estimate, please contact me directly.
Time is more limited during the summer months, so editing requests made in June, July, or August may not be accepted. Please contact me to see if your request can be accommodated during these months.
